With the Veroval® 2 in 1 infrared thermometer for the whole family* you can measure the temperature easily in the ear or on the forehead – whichever you prefer. Thanks to the infrared technology, measurements with the Veroval® 2 in 1 thermometer are fast. The measuring sensor detects the infrared radiation emanating from the eardrum or the forehead surface and produces the result during an ear measurement in one second.

To better evaluate the results, Veroval® has a red fever indicator which illuminates when the temperature is ≥ 37.6°C!

The Veroval® protective caps allow a very hygienic measurement of human body temperature in the ear when using Veroval® Fever and greatly minimize the risk of transferring bacteria or viruses. You may even dispose the used cap without touching it by pressing the ejector switch from the Veroval® 2 in 1 thermometer!

For replacing the protective cap on the tip of the thermometer's ear sensor, the protective cap icon is shown on the display once it is properly fitted.

It is important toonly use the compatible Veroval® protective caps for ensuring accurate temperature results. Using other brands can cause errors in results.

Fast - thanks to infrared technology

The measuring sensor detects the infrared radiation emitted from the eardrum or the forehead surface and displays the result during the ear measurement in 1 SECOND.

For forehead measurement, the highest recognized value is displayed after completion of the scanning movement of the entire area from temple to temple.

Readings in the ear

The ear temperature has the highest accuracy since it measures the temperature emitted by the eardrum that is sharing the blood supply from the hypothalamus - the temperature control centre of the brain. In some people, temperature readings may differ between left and right ears. Therefore, it is recommended to always take the reading in the same ear for the same person.

The thermometer measures the infrared rays emitted by the eardrum and ear canal that are collected by the sensor and converted into temperature values. The best results are obtained when the infrared rays are collected from the eardrum by pulling the ear upwards and backwards for children more than one year old and only backwards for children less than one year old.

Rays emitted by surrounding tissue give lower readings and it is therefore recommended to practice on using the thermometer on yourself and the whole family when you are healthy, to improve your measuring technique.

Furthermore, a low reading can be related to anear infection, and it is best to switch to theback-up mode of forehead measurement!

Moreover, to ensure hygienic temperature taking in the ear, the original Veroval® protective caps should always be used. Using other brands can cause errors in results.

Readings on the forehead

The thermometer measures the infrared rays emitted by the skin on the forehead, by the temple area and by the surrounding skin. For the highest accuracy, it is essential to extend the scanning movement of the entire area from temple to temple to ensure the temporal artery is included in the measurement.

The infrared rays emitted by the body are collected by Veroval® Fever sensor and converted into temperature values.

Forehead temperature can be affected by being outdoors for longer periods like the cold during winter or the sunshine during the summer, as well as by wearing headgear or if there is sweating or cosmetics on the area.

Therefore, it is better to measure the temperature on a clean and dry forehead and only after having rested at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.

What does the optical fever alarm of the Veroval® Fever 2 in 1 Thermometer mean?

The Veroval^® Fever 2 in 1 infrared thermometer offers an optical fever indication with a colored LED light. If a temperature taken is less than 37.6 °C the fever indicator lights up in green. If the temperature taken is 37.6 °C or higher the fever indicator lights up in red.

What are the advantages of the Veroval® Fever 2 in 1 Infrared Thermometer?

The Veroval^® Fever 2 in 1 infrared thermometer offers two different ways of taking temperature: in the ear and on the forehead. It is possible to select between the two modes according to preference. You can set it to take either ear or forehead temperature readings by using the mode switch on the side of the thermometer. The Veroval^® Protective Covers are intended to be used together with the Veroval^® 2 in 1 infrared thermometer. In combination with the thermometer, the disposable protective covers allow a very hygienic measurement of body temperature in the ear. The single-use product helps to prevent cross-contaminations and infections by transmission of bacteria or viruses. The product is made of smooth plastic with clear membrane, and is free of DEHP and latex.
