Thermoval® Baby

Silent and Contact-Free measurement

The Thermoval® 3 in 1 Baby infrared thermometer measures the forehead temperature without contact as well as objects and room temperature.

You don't need to disturb your little one anymore! You can now take your baby’s temperature even while he or she is sleeping, absolutely silently and without even waking him or her up! With the Thermoval® Baby thermometer, you can gently and conveniently measure the temperature without touching the forehead and without making any sound.

The infrared measurement is easy, precise, and fast in only 3 seconds. To better evaluate the results, Thermoval® Baby has a visual fever alert which illuminates when the temperature is ≥ 37.6°C!

As an interesting extra, you can also measure an object’s temperature such as milk bottles, the bath water and even the ambient temperature, for example in your baby's room.

Thermoval® Baby is Clinically Validated for high accuracy in accordance with the European and German standards!

Fast, Silent and Contact-Free

The new generation of modern infrared sensor technology provides high measuring accuracy while being contact-free! The measuring sensor detects the infrared radiation emitted, performs a scan for three seconds, and displays the highest measurement recorded.

The Thermoval® Baby visual fever alert illuminates silently when the temperature is ≥ 37.6°C to keep your little one sleeping!

Three different uses

On the forehead

The thermometer measures the infrared radiation emitted by the skin in the forehead and temple area and the surrounding tissue. The radiation is picked up by the sensor and converted into temperature values.

The Thermoval® Baby should be switched on the Forehead mode with the forehead icon appearing on the display.

An accurate result is achieved when the measuring distance of 3 cm – 5 cm between the sensor and the skin is respected by observing that the blue positioning light forms a clear outline circle on the forehead. At the end of the measurement, the positioning light goes out and the screen lights up blue.

For the highest accuracy, it is essential to extend the scanning movement from the centre of the forehead to the temple area to ensure that the temporal artery is captured during the measurement.

On object surface

The thermometer measures the infrared radiation emitted by the surface of the object e.g. of the milk bottle of water bath. The radiation is picked up by the sensor and converted into temperature values.

The Thermoval® Baby should be switched on the Object mode with the home icon appearing on the display.

An accurate result is achieved when the measuring distance of 3 cm – 5 cm between the sensor and the object is maintained and the sensor lens is not clouded by condensation. The scanning process lasts 3 seconds, then the result is shown.

Due to physical surface effects, the real temperature inside the object may be distinctly hotter or colder than the temperature measured on its surface.

In the room

The new generation of modern infrared sensor provides high measuring accuracy while being contact-free! The measuring sensor detects the infrared radiation emitted, performs a scan for three seconds, and displays the highest measurement recorded.

The Thermoval® Baby visual fever alert illuminates silently when the temperature is ≥ 37.6°C to keep your little one sleeping!

Clinical Validation

For high accuracy, the Thermoval® Baby 3 in 1 infrared thermometer clinically validated in accordance to DIN EN IEC 60601 and ASTM E1965 .

Choosing the right thermometer for your family

Buying a thermometer for the whole family is often a long-term purchase. So, it makes sense to look for a model that not only gives accurate readings but is also quick and convenient to use.
FAQ-ICON
How does the measurement work?

The thermometer measures the infrared radiation emitted by the skin on the forehead and the temple area and by the surrounding tissue. The radiation is picked up by the sensor and converted into temperature values. The highest measurement recorded is displayed on the device.

Similarly, if the temperature measurement is carried out as a surface measurement of an object or as a room temperature measurement, the sensor detects the radiation emitted from the surface of the object respectively of the ambient air in the room.

What are the advantages of contact free measurement?

Contact free infrared thermometers use a modern measuring sensor technology to provide a body temperature value of high measurement accuracy. It is the most advanced and safest method of measuring the body temperature currently on the market. It is convenient as well as easy to use.

A non-contact forehead thermometer allows measurement of the temperature of babies, children and adults to be taken without skin contact in only 3 seconds. The thermometer is simply moved across the forehead over the temporal artery: a positioning light integrated into the head of the sensor enables guided handling of the thermometer during the scanning process. This eliminates the need to physically insert a probe into a body cavity such as the ear canal or rectum, which is not always well received by very sick children and babies. When a non-contact thermometer is used, you can take your child‘s temperature even while he or she is sleeping, absolutely silently and without bothering or even waking him or her.

Contact-free body temperature measurement is safe and hygienic because the temperature is measured without skin contact. The risk of contact transmission of bacteria or viruses is minimized. Therefore Thermoval® Baby is ideal for use on babies and children.

Thermoval® Baby additionally allows the measurement of the surface of an object or the room temperature in a further measuring mode. It can therefore be used in multiple ways.

How many measurements does the Thermoval® Baby Infrared Thermometer save?
The device automatically stores the last 10 measurements taken from the forehead or an object. When all 10 memory positions are occupied, the oldest temperature reading is then overwritten. Saved temperatures can be retrieved as described in the instructions for use.
