The innovative DUO SENSOR technology combines two professional measuring methods: the oscillometric technology and the Korotkoff technology. Whereas the majority of automatic blood pressure monitors only function using the oscillometric technology, which evaluates arterial pulse waves, the DUO SENSOR technology additionally measures using the very precise Korotkoff method, where a microphone is used to record heart sounds. Doctors also use the Korotkoff method to measure blood pressure, since this is very reliable (gold standard) and also provides correct readings in patients with cardiac arrhythmias.
The Veroval® duo control upper arm blood pressure monitor with Comfort Air Technology allows more comfortable upper arm measurements. Unlike many automatic blood pressure monitors with pre-programmed cuff inflation pressure, the Comfort Air Technology individually determines an approximate systolic blood pressure of the patient during each measurement and adds 30 mmHg for the optimal individual cuff pressure. This allows for more comfortable upper arm measurements as the device always uses just as much pressure as is really needed to ensure accurate and pleasant blood pressure measurements.
High level of precision verified: Veroval® duo control upper arm blood pressure monitor with its high accuracy in blood pressure measurement has been clinically validated according to the protocol of the European Society of Hypertension.
The Veroval® duo control upper arm blood pressure monitor has met all specifications required for the quality seal of the German Hypertension League.
The Veroval® duo control upper arm blood pressure monitor is clinically validated by the British Hypertension Society.

FAQ

The Veroval® duo control blood pressure monitor is the best choice for those patients who are already suffering from cardiac or circulatory diseases – e.g. arrhythmias – and take their blood pressure on a daily basis. It is also recommendable for anyone who values particularly high precision and demands a comfortable measurement.
The advantage of the patented DUO SENSOR technology in the Veroval® duo control blood pressure monitor is that it combines two measuring methods, and thus offers medically precise blood pressure measurement results, even in case of cardiac arrhythmias. On the one hand there is the standard method of measuring blood pressure – the so-called Oscillometric method (measuring of arterial pulse waves) – and on the other hand the so-called Korotkoff method, in which a highly sensitive microphone records the sounds of the flowing blood in the artery. Since it is very reliable (gold standard), doctors also use the Korotkoff method to measure blood pressure. If you want to know more about the two measurement methods, you can also watch our informative film about the topic.

If they occur regularly, they may be a first sign of a circulatory disorder (ischemia) or an inflammation of the heart muscle (myocarditis).
